hey sis~ at last, i can write you a testimonial... ^_^God has given me so many gifts in my life and the best gift He has blessed me with is younah. younah is the best example of a perfect sister one can ever have. She is always there for me in happy and also in sad moments of my life listening to every little thing that i say. I am so thankful that she is my sister coz i would be miserable without her. She is like everything to me. Sometimes i act so stupid that i make her upset but after some minutes, she'd crack some jokes to make me laugh again. this thing called "HOME"

I usually get homesick during the holiday seasons here or in Korea since i can't really fly over there anytime i want.

but come to think of it... what is home? i do have a home here in the philippines... Why do i get homesick even when i have a home here with my family and friends around? Home...the notion of home just stays abstract i think...

maybe i will never be "HOMESICK-FREE" since home seems to mean those things that i cannot touch now, see now, hear now, smell now, and taste now... Maybe that's why i keep missing it. Even when I go to Korea, after a few days i'd say "i miss home.."

Home is... 1) the past (2) the friends i can't see that often (3) the places that i can't visit any longer or not that often (4) the place where I can find things that I thought were missing... etc..

If i have to pinpoint the places i can find home, they'd be.. Korea, Zambia, and the Philippines. These are just the places i find home..

Sometimes, i get tired of missing home. Sometimes I ask myself to stop getting homesick, but i never do stop getting homesick.

So this thing returns back to God. Maybe only in God, we'd find home in which we shall not get homesick any more.

거북이는 모르고 있었지만... 토끼는 거북이를 사랑했답니다.
누구에게도 알리지 않은... 토끼의 소중한 마음이었죠.

어느날... 토끼는 거북이의 모습에 가슴이 아팠습니다.
거북이는 느린 자신에 대해 자책하고 있었거든요.
너무나 느리고 굼뜬 자신에 대해서요.
토끼는 거북이를 사랑했습니다.

앞서가는 토끼는 달리면서도 거북이만을 생각했습니다.
어느새 너무나 차이가 나버렸습니다.
토끼는 거북이를 기다리기로 했습니다.

그러나 무작정 기다릴 수는 없었죠.
토끼는 길가에 누워 자는 척을 했습니다.
그리고는... 거북이가 다가와 자신을 깨워주기를 바랬습니다.
그래서... 함께 달리기를 원했습니다. 둘이서...

여러분도 그 다음은 아시죠?
거북이는 길가에 잠든 토끼를 추월해서 경주에 이겼답니다.
그렇지만 모르시겠죠... 잠든 척 누워있던 토끼의 눈물을...

mama's korean hot-spicy sesame chicken

For those who wanted my mama's chicken recipe.

[A] Frying the chicken1. Cut the chicken into favorable size.2. Drain the chicken of water.3. Put salt, black pepper, and garlic. Mix them well with the chicken.4. Leave it for 5 min.5. Heat the cooking oil until it's about 200 degrees celcius. Try to keep the temperature constant.6. Fry the chicken. Make sure that the chicken has this yellowish brown color after the fry.

[B] Making the chilly spicy sauceThis is where you have a problem.. you need this thing called "go-chu-jang", in English, korean chilly paste. I'm not so sure where you can get one. NCCC Mall used to have a stock some months ago, but i don't think they still have the stock... Neverthless, here are the steps to make the sauce.1. Put the korean chilly paste, sugar or honey, and barbeque sauce into a bowl. Here, the sugar/honey and the barbeque sauce should be in a proportion of 1 to 1.2. Mix it thoroughly.3. Heat the frying pan for a minute.4. Put about 3 spoonfuls of cooking oil in the pan.5. Put the mixture in the pan, and stir it well.6. Put some water. then mix them well.7. Boil it down untill the mixture becomes quite sticky.

[C] 1. Put the fried chicken in step[A] and the sauce in step[B] together.2. Mix them well enough for the chicken to be coated well by the sauce.3. Sprinkle some sesame seed and some ground peanut.
